KiK-net data

K-NET data format and station info.


The strong-motion data of KiK-net is written in K-NET format. But the format has minor differences from K-NET original format. The explanation of the data format is described below.

(10th line)recording start time
This time includes the effect of delay time 15 seconds in the strong-motion recorder so, the true start time is obtained by subtracting 15 seconds from the Record Time.

(13th line)number of sensor channels
The strong-motion seismograph of KiK-net has 6-channel acceleration sensors. Relationship of the channels and data file suffix are described below.

(15th line)maximum acceleration
This value is subtracted the avarage of whole data from original value.
